Why Are You Blogging and What Are You Doing About It?

  

There are million of blogs over the Internet today. This figure grove in thousands in daily bases. However, people also stop writing to these blogs for many reasons. So why do these people create blog?

 

People create blogs for different reasons. Most popular reason is to make money. They also create blogs to share their passion with people. Money motivated blogs usually don’t last, as most people expect to see outcome straight away. But blogs that are about the things that we enjoy doing, then these blogs can go long way.

 

Blogs that are created for money making purposes are usually dropped within few weeks after creation. When people create these blogs, they believe they can make money straight away. But unfortunately it is not that easy to generate a reasonable income from your blog. It is not impossible, but it is not easy. Basically you can’t create a steady income from your blog overnight. It takes time and patience to start making money. This is where most people gets fed up and stop writing to their blogs.

 

If we create a blog about the things that we enjoy doing, then we can have the will to write posts almost everyday. Because, we will know about our subject and we would have no problem to talk about it or write about it.

 

Most people who create blogs for making money have no idea on how to make money. They create these blogs because, they see others making money and they want to do the same thing. But what they don’t know is what those people are going through to make money from their blog. So what do they do to make money?

 

·     Stick affiliate links to their blog

·     Put adsense on their blog

·     Sell advertisement spots on their blog

·     and sit down and watch their blog to make money

 

Of course not. Although they do these things to generate income, they do a lot more to be able to make money from affiliate links, adsense, etc. What they do is:

 

·     Create good content

·     Promote their site

·     Optimise their site

·     Create mailing lists

 

I will not go through each of them in this post. But what I wanted show you is, these people spend time to make something out of their blog. Al the things that I mentioned above take time. So these people also have the patience to wait. They have adopted a method and execute that method. They have time management. They spend time to promote their site.

 

To be able to create a successful blog, we need few elements. These are time management, and knowledge about the subject that we intend to blog about, and the audience.

 

Choose a Niche

 

Before we start blogging, we need to have good knowledge about the niche of the blog. Remember, you need to blog almost everyday for few weeks from the start. So if you don’t your niece very well, then you will have difficulties to create posts.

 

Know Your Audience

 

You also need to know about your potential audience. If you know, what type of people would be interested with your blog, then you would know how to communicate with them.

 

Time Management

 

This is probably the most important bit in blogging. You need to set time for the tasks you need to take for the success of your blog. Give time frame for each task and repeat it. Always make list of thinks that you need to do for the following day. And give a time frame for each.

 

So when you are blogging to make money, you need to ask yourself everyday, Why are you blogging and what have you done today to accomplish your goal?
