Recession favours Internet Advertising

Despite many worries about recession and its effects on Internet Marketing, recent report from eMarketer shows that online advertisement spending rose around 1.2% since 2008 compare to traditional media such as newspapers and TV. It further predicts that it will continue to grow.

This report shows that, even more people are relying on the Internet to be able to sell their products and services. It also means that recession can be an opportunity for people to venture Internet to make money.

Although recession is affecting many people in bad way, it can also be opportunity for many. One thing you need to be aware of; people still spend money, but they spend their money on alternatives. For instance instead of purchasing new car, they purchase second hand car.

So, Internet is already established as big alternative to TV and Newspapers. Therefore, it is chosen by many to conduct business online. As the figures from eMarketer’s report shows, the importance of online businesses will continue to grow for at least six years.

    Hi. I believe internet advertising is much effordable. However, it still is not as effective as tv or radio. You should use all sorts of advertisement methods as long as you can efford them.
