What are the factors that make the quality blogs?

There are many aspects that define the quality blog. According to research conducted by Vizu, doesn’t matter what niche your blog is about, the followings are the most important factors that make a blog good blog. These factors are listed below from most important to least.

Quality of writing: This certainly doesn’t mean using fancy words. Explain things in simple English. You should read this post by Dean Rieck. It explains clearly, what “quality of writing” means.  

Post frequency: If you make regular blog posts, the readers will come back by subscribing to your blog. This doesn’t mean you keep creating posts every few hours. Just stick to a frequency. However, if you are just starting blogging, you should make one or two posts a day.  After few weeks, you can bring it down to one post a day.

Site design: Clear and simple design helps your readers to read your blog. Make sure your posts and text in your blog are clear. You need to avoid using animated graphics and images. These can distract your visitors.

Author reputation: If you have an established name, people are very likely to come and visit your blog. You make reputation by becoming an active member in forums and online communities. Of course it can take time to become a reputable author. However, this is the third most important factor for people to read your blog, so don’t worry about this that much.

Popularity: After accomplishing all of the above factors, there is no reason why your blog should not be popular. When it becomes popular, you automatically get links to your blog. Also, people will recommend your blog to others.

Multimedia content: When it is appropriate support your posts with video and images. This certainly doesn’t mean you should use fancy flash animations or graphics. However, this is the least important factor that defines quality blog.
