Which one is hardest? Dealing with failure or dealing with success

We all want to flourish in our field of expertise. We try everything to become successful. However, what happens after we become successful? What happens after we achieve the goals we wanted to achieve?

Many of you probably saying, “I would much prefer to deal with the success, rather than dealing with the failure”. I wouldn’t blame you for it and that is probably what I personally would prefer as well. However, dealing with success can come with its own problems.

When we become successful, we automatically start thinking that all the things we do, we will succeed again. We can become over confident. But, what is wrong with this?

Over confidence can cause a lot of problems for us, if we want to carry-on with our success. It prevents us to see the risks and challenges ahead. We believe that what ever attitude made us successful will also help us to tackle the problems ahead.

Basically the delusion created by success can prevent us to take certain actions. However, failure makes us to try new methods and new routes. When we fail, we start questioning our actions. We try to analyse what went wrong.

In times, failure helps us to bring the best out of ourselves. As long as we don’t give up, we eventually overcome the obstacles on our way to success. However, success can blind us to see further obstacles that are waiting for us.

So, how can we overcome this problem? The solution is not that complicated. We just need to remember our attitude, when we were dealing with the failure. What did we do? Who did we ask for help?

I am not asking you to fail. All I am asking you is not to forget your actions to deal with the failure. Because, you will need those actions, when you reach your long term objective to stay there and even go further.
