The Road Map for a Successful Blog
The expectations of life depend upon diligence; the mechanic that would perfect his work must first sharpen his tools.

Bloggers such as Yaro Starak, Darren Rowse, and Daniel Scocco are known to make their living from their blogs. If you ask any of these guys, they would not hesitate to share their secret on how they achieved this success. In fact they share their methods openly in their own blogs.
I am sure there are lots of new bloggers out there inspired by these individuals and started their own blog. Well, I am at least one of them. However, to reach their level, it requires a lot of dedication and patience. On the other hand, it is also very easy to lose interest and dedication, if you don’t have a sort of plan and objectives for your blog.
Most successful bloggers didn’t reach their goals easily. They took their blogging serious and treated as their business. As every money making business, you need a business plan. But I need to warn you that not everything goes according to plan. So, you need to know what to do during hard times. Also, you need to keep in mind that if you fail, or have any sorts of difficulty, it is only up to you to learn and prevail from your mistakes.
I will not tell you how to make your plan (Here is mine). You should decide on this by yourself. However, blogging requires 3 main tasks, which you must perform regularly if you want to make serious money:
- Write fresh new content regularly. Some may say in daily basis; however you should find your own routine and stick to it. It is very difficult to provide new content in daily basis; therefore you should probably make your posts every few days.
- Promoting your blog. This involves many thinks. Writing on other blogs as guest bloggers, commenting on other blogs, participating in forums, PPC, article marketing etc. Here, you can find more tips about promoting your blog.
- Most importantly, finish what you started. This is probably the most important bit, you need to remember. Because, if you can’t finish what you started, there is no way you will able to be successful. So, if you decided to write an article for your blog, you need to make sure you finish it.
If you are travelling to unknown territory, you need a road map to show you the right direction. So, whatever are doing, you need to come up with your own road map to your success.

If a blog is new, promoting the blog is more important than writing posts daily. As the blog matures, then the frequency of the posting is more important than promotion.

I think if the blog is new, you should focus on the content more. You can still promote it. But, if the content is not updated than the poeple may not come back. Fresh content is really important, especially for blogs.
By the way you don’t have to write in daily basis. As long as you got a routine to make posts then that should be ok.
