12 things you don’t want to hear before starting a blog

  1. It can be as exhausting as regular jobs.
  2. It can also make you spend less time with your friends and families. You will still require spending more time working.
  3. It can be more rewarding, if you can start it as a hobby. In other words, stick to your normal job until you see some potential. Many people make the mistake by leaving their job from start. However, you need to convince yourself, there is real opportunity.
  4. It still requires a lot of hard work from the start. If you think that making money without hard work is possible, then you should probably spend more time and money on lotto.
  5. You need to plan and schedule tasks towards your long term goals. Without planning and scheduling, you won’t see where you heading or what your next move will be.
  6. “Trying to do a lot” can also be the biggest mistake, which would lead you to failure. Always divide your tasks in to smaller time scales.
  7. You’ve got to know that, you need to be stubborn and learn from your mistakes. If you fail, you should always try it again and again. Of course, by not repeating the same mistakes.
  8. Always have alternative plans, if the current one is not working. This way, when you fail, you can recover from it as quickly as possible.
  9. It is very hard to do it by yourself. Try to build a network of people, who you can benefit from. You can do this by providing your knowledge or services for free to others.
  10. You have to be disciplined and deal with the problems straight away. If you don’t deal with them straight away, you will end up with more problems.
  11. Make sure, you won’t get distracted. As you will work from home, there will be lots of distractions around. So, it is good idea to choose quite place to do your work.
  12. Finally, don’t expect results straight away. Sometimes it may take weeks or months to make reasonable amount of money.

  2. I think a big thing that demotivates people is “Finally, don’t expect results straight away. Sometimes it may take weeks or months to make reasonable amount of money.”

  3. when I started my blogging to make money most of my family and friends mocked the idea. Several years later and earning double per week what most of them earn, all i hear now is “Rob? Will you show me how you do it and then set it all for me!” LOL
