How to recharge your blog motivation?

blog motivationThere used to be a lot of times of frustration, when I was trying to keep up with my blog. Fortunately, I minimised this frustration and learn the way to recharge my blog motivation. So, today I would like to share these tips with you.

Keep your desires close but priorities closer

You need to set your priorities and schedule your blogging related activities. Make sure the time you spare for your blog does not affect others such as your wife, your children, or your parents. I would suggest you to sit down with them and arrange a time period that is suitable for everyone. This way, they will also support and respect your ambition.

We all have desires to do lots of fun stuff. To go to cinema to watch a new movie, hang around with friends, etc. Although having a good social life is one of the main priorities in life, we need to balance it really carefully, so they prevent us to undertake our main tasks that need to be doing.

Overloading cause frustration

Don’t try to do everything in one day. When you try to juggle more than you can handle you are more likely to make mistakes. You’ve got to evaluate your tasks and assess their difficulties. If a task is more difficult to handle, try to focus on that task only. Personally, when I need to write new blog posts, I devote that day just for research and writing.

If you think you need a break then you need a break

Especially, when I am writing new blog posts, I take lots of breaks. Don’t force yourself to do more, if you feel tired. Relaxation is your best friend, when you feel discouraged and overwhelmed with work.

Don’t let pressure control you

When we set ourselves difficult tasks and small time limit to finish those tasks, we get pressured and stressed. The main source of pressure for many bloggers is, trying to provide fresh content in daily basis. Because of this pressure you make mistakes and get overwhelmed.

My aim is to provide new content every 2 days. This way, I can write a new blog post in one day, and involve with other activities such as commenting, engaging with my twitter followers, etc. This works really good for me. In most cases, I can make 2 blog posts in a day, which means I get less pressure to meet the deadlines for my blog.

Rushing does not let you finish on time

People usually rush things when they under estimate the time required for a certain task. Allow yourself plenty of time to handle your responsibilities. Some tasks may be easier that the others, some may be more difficult.

  3. Awesome post, I really enjoyed reading that! :)

I must agree with the rushing point. As well as the time issue, you may find that the quality of the post suffers, and that can really wreck your blog. Always leave enough time to write the post, then go over it and check all the spelling/grammar is correct and that you didn’t miss anything out!

  4. Thanks for sharing these practical tips.

Don’t go by the rules! Like, you have to post daily. Post when you feel inspired. Sometimes it takes a week or two to get back in the groove. That’s OK. Don’t buy into othe notion that you have to do certain things to be successful. It’s the way that you do things which draws people to your blog. When you’re inspired, when your writing is backed with strong positive emotions, it attracts. Always does. Forcing things always repels.

This is what I need. Sometimes 24 hours is not enough. Usually my sleep suffers and I just get 5 hours a night on week days, 6 hours if lucky.
