Week In A Post: PR Update, Competition, and More
There was couple of things I was looking forward this week. First one was Google PR update, second; effects of the top commentator competition. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the PR update as I didn’t receive any for my blog. However, effects of top commentator competition have been great. I’ve received more comments then before. In regards to PR, although I am disappointed, it encouraged me to do more promotion and link building activities.
The traffic and RSS subscribers both doubled compare to last week. This was mainly because a lot of commenting and a lot of interaction with twitter users. Yes, I start seeing the benefits of twitter more, after interacting more with my followers.
The main high light for this week was my first competition, which offers free advertisement to top commentator of the week. By the way it is still on and finishes next Wednesday at 8 pm GMT. You can enter this competition by commenting on any posts.
There were total of 4 new blog posts this week. If you haven’t read them, here are the links:

Great point about twitter. Twitter is an amazing tool when you decide to engage. People appreciate being spoken to, not spoken at.

A question and suggestion…
How do you make the cool “pics” within each post?
Can you add a subscribe to comments plugin please?

Hi zeesu
I basicly ask questions to my followers, directly (@username). Although I can’t go through all followers one by one, I pick few in daily basis, check out their blog, and ask questions or comment about their blog posts. But make sure not to include your link in your direct tweets.
Also, retweeting their content also draws some attention. Remember, twitter is networking site, so the key is sharing communicating with other followers. I hope this helps.

Shame about your page rank.. Google can be a harsh mistress and sometimes a loving mistress and we all have to put up with her moods.

PageRank is all about inbound links. So to get a PageRank you need to build your backlinks from blogs or websites with high PageRank so you’ll get some in return. One more thing to consider is, those sites needs to be a dofollow sites.
BTW, I’m not sure if know but your About Page still has the default information from Wordpress. I think its good to edit it and put some of your details there.
