So, when would that thin line help you to success rather than failure?

When you are willing to learn new things and do not hesitate to spend extra time to do so. To sacrifice that extra time, you will also need to sacrifice time from some of the things you really love to do; sleep, watching your favorite program, going out with friends, etc. But, you should always know that, you can do all those things again with the satisfaction of accomplishment.

When you are open minded. There isn’t only one way to do things. Try new methods and different approaches to solve the problems. If one approach doesn’t give you the solution you expected, then you probably haven’t discovered the right one. So, you should never give up until you discover the right approach to solve your problems.

When you adapt the attitude of your role model. However that doesn’t mean you should imitate them. You have to put your own thoughts across regularly and you should not hesitate. Role models can teach us to take actions and never give up attitude. However, you need to identify your own actions and keep taking those actions, not your role models’.

When you don’t ignore the future. We can only learn from our past, but we can’t change it. But, we have the ability to change our future the way we want it to be. If we keep repeating the mistakes we’ve done in the past, then we are destine to have a future very similar to our past.

When you always have clear picture of what you want to achieve. If, you can’t visualize your dreams, then you will have great difficulty to reach those dreams. You need to spare some time to sit down and visualize, how the future would be, if you accomplish all your goals. This will help you to motivate to take appropriate actions to make those dreams come true.

When you think that you don’t have enough time to do extra things, but manage to create time. This is when you build the main road to your successful future. We all complain lack of time. But, if you look at people with full of achievements, they were also lack of time. But they always manage to create time to chase their dreams.

Everyone have their own thin line that separates success from failure. You need to identify and find out, what limits you to take that extra step. After you identify those limitations, it will be a lot easier to use them for you advantage.

There are things you will be good at and things you won’t

We all want to be good at everything we try. However, there will be a lot of things we won’t be able to do. At the same time there are a lot of other things we can be very good at. Only we need to discover those abilities. We must never give up trying to find out our true abilities.

Failing is not the end of the world

When you are not good at something, don’t let that get into you. Try again and again. Ask people’s help to improve and learn. By failing you can discover your true abilities. You might not be good at jumping high, but you might be good at jumping longer. Failing is part of the process on the way to success.

Team work helps you achieve faster

These programs always point out the team work, by showing kids how to do things together as a team. This is really important, because we can’t do everything ourselves. Sometimes it is better to combine our skills and tackle the problems together. People with different skills and different attributes usually produce much creative solutions.

Being Destructive will only destroy you

You can’t progress in life, if you keep destroying others’ thoughts and works. You should offer your help and try to assist people to the right direction without disrespecting their values. By being distractive, no one cares what you thing and no one cares about what you do.

Share your problems

As well as this can cause big problems for children, it can also play a distractive role in adults’ life. The things that bother you can grove into bigger problems, if you don’t share it with people. It is always good to let people know, what the problem is and how it affects you. It is good to talk.

Practice makes you better

Whatever you are attempting to do for the first time, you can only be better if you keep practicing your skills. If you don’t, your abilities will remain same as you started and they won’t improve. A lot of practice can make you better.

Things doesn’t go according to plan all the time

Unfortunately, we can’t predict everything. Therefore, we need to be strong and don’t lose our patience to accomplish our goals. Things can and will go wrong. We have the ability to make it right. A good plan is always the one that has alternatives.

Trying to learn is better than not knowing at all

Actually, children are very brave to ask whatever in their mind. It is usually adults who feel embarrassed to ask questions about the things they have lack of knowledge. If it costs one question to learn, then it is well worth to ask that question.

We can learn and improve ourselves regardless to our age. We should never under estimate the source of good knowledge. And we should not hesitate to put these knowledge into practice.

I hope I convinced you to wake up at 6:30 AM every morning to watch these programs :)

Trying to avoid failure would be the biggest mistake you would ever do

Failure happens, when we try to do something for a purpose and get a result that is opposite to our expectations. When we get that unexpected result, we try it again and again until we get it right. If we try to avoid failure, we don’t get the motivation to try again. Basically, we avoid trying new things, we avoid making brave decisions, and we avoid working hard.

Failure is a teacher that teaches more valuable lessons

Only if you try to learn from it. You need to face failure with a brave face and ask yourself, why did I get this outcome? What actions brought me here? What can I do differently next time? Answering these questions honestly, will bring you the results that you wanted.

Success = Failure + Determination + Action

If you break down the journey towards success, you will see that there a lot of failures on that trip. However, determination prevents us from giving up and forces us to carry on taking actions. Barack Obama said it well;

“Making your mark on the world is hard. If it were easy, everybody would do it. But it’s not. It takes patience, it takes commitment, and it comes with plenty of failure along the way. The real test is not whether you avoid this failure, because you won’t. it’s whether you let it harden or shame you into inaction, or whether you learn from it; whether you choose to persevere”.

Thank god my baby son loves failure

If you want to learn determination, you can learn a lot from babies. They don’t care if the coffee cup is hot or not. They go for it. They don’t care what is in the draws; they try their hardest to explore what is inside. They don’t care if it hurts their knees or not, they are determent to crawl to the things they want. They don’t care if they would fall again, they are determined enough to walk.

Failure is an option

Of course none of us choose to fail deliberately. We can choose to be determent and try to rise above failure. We should expect that failures will happen. In these situations, you need to remember the following quotation; “Winners never quit, quitters never win”. Winners don’t avoid failure, they overcome failure.

Instead of avoiding failure, try to figure out the way. Analyze the actions you took, that resulted in failure. Try your hardest to find alternative ways, which will bring you success eventually.

It is really satisfying, when you start something, which you kept putting off for a while. After you finish, you want to do more and more. Especially, when the work you’ve done is appreciated by others. It gives you a momentum to do more things; you keep putting off for later dates.

Small changes can help you a lot, to do the things, which you kept delaying. Changes start if you take actions. The pictures don’t hang themselves. You can’t wait someone else to do the job that needs to be doing. So, you need to take the hammer and nails and start hanging those pictures on the wall or clean the garden which you kept delaying for months.

Actions lead to results

After you finish those small jobs, you will get the satisfaction of getting the job done. This will make you go even further. You will start with other things you’ve been putting off. You’ll be surprised, how much you have achieved, when you look back.

Results will lead to success

You can only get results if you take action. If you start something with positive attitude and go till the end, you will see the benefit of pushing hard at the end. You can’t get results (bad or good), without trying.

How do we lose our confidence?

It usually happens in various ways:

• When we fail and take that failure far more seriously rather than an experience.

• Criticizing yourself and your abilities harshly.

• Taking bad results far seriously than it usually is.

• High expectation from family and friends cause pressure and this result in loosing our confidence.

• Setting unrealistic objectives.

• Fear of being unsuccessful.

So, how can we improve our confidence?

Believing yourself and being positive is surely a big start. After that you need to set small and realistic goals. When you achieve these small goals, you should reward yourself. In time you will gain enough confidence to tackle bigger challenges.

However, it is also possible to get a result that would make you feel as you failed again. Then, you need to be positive and try to learn from your mistakes. Analyze your actions and identify the mistakes you made.

Concentrate on your strong abilities rather than trying to improve your weaknesses. You can’t be perfect and there would be a lot of things you won’t be good at. However, sure there are some other things you are much better at. Try to identify those abilities and work on them.

Learn how to communicate your ideas, opinions and feelings to the others. Never hesitate to say what you think. Always stand behind your own rights (but don’t be defensive all the time) and learn to say no when it is necessary.

List the things that border you, or the things you’ve been putting off. Even the things that you believe prevent you to achieve your goals. After, start dealing with those problems straight away. Some problems maybe solved much quicker than others. But keep in mind that some of the problems may need some time to tackle.

I always believe that a simple hello would take you long way. Unfortunately , most people finds it very difficult to start a conversation with a stranger. Most of us can’t even be bothered to talk people about the things we do. Yesterday I was catching a taxi to the train station. I always like to have conversation whenever I get a ride with a taxi. Otherwise it would be a very boring 20 minute journey.

Anyway, as we were heading to the train station, we start talking. I told him I am going to London to check on my house which has been empty for few weeks. I also mentioned that I am looking for people, who can rent the rooms. He told me that him and his wife will go to London for 2 weeks, however the accommodation is too expensive and they would love to consider to stay in my house.

I offered the guy my place for £110/week (This is extremely cheap for a two bedroom house in London) and told him that I can provide some pictures of the house after I get back. So cut the long story short, I provide the picture to the taxi driver and he decided to rent the house for a month instead of 2 weeks.

The main point with this story is, you’ve got to talk to people. Tell them what you do. You never know if they would be interested with that or not. Don’t try to sell them anything, just explain to them what you are doing as you explain it to a friend. You would surprised how you could benefit from a simple hello.

So, what is courage and why do we need courage? Courage makes you take action right after you decide on taking action. It helps you to deal with the problems straight away, rather than leaving them to later on.

I am sure most of you chased by dogs. If you run away from a dog, it will chase you. However, if you walk towards the dog and show the dog that you are not scared, it will not chase you. It will run away or start waving its tail. Courage will help you to walk towards the dog. It is same for our main challenges in life. We can only tackle the problems, if we have the courage to face them. However, if we run away from those problems, they will always chase us.

It doesn’t matter how fast we run or how far we go, those problems will continue to chase us and will be with us all the time.

So, you can’t solve a problem by running away from it. You have deal with it and except to try again and again, until you find a reasonable solution. Our destination can only get closer, if we walk or run towards it. However, by doing nothing or walking away from it will not make your destination any closer.

If you don’t have the courage to stand up and take action to make your ideas reality, you will never experience the good things that are waiting for you. Just like the nutrition you would get from an orange. If you don’t eat it, you will never experience that juicy sweet taste of orange. You would never benefit from its nutrition.

Now, all you need to do is be brave and make a small decision. Right after that take an action to make that decision reality. You don’t have to take big steps to accomplish your goals. Even small steps will take you closer to your dreams, even if those steps result with failure. Just as JohannWolfgang von Goethe said:

Daring ideas are like chessmen moved forward; they may be beaten, but they may start a winning game.

Focusing and concentration plays major factor, if we want accomplish a task or a project. Good focusing along with determination and courage will help us to succeed despite all the difficulties.

As long as we set our mind to accomplish our goals, we will reach our objective step by step, whatever difficulties we face, whatever hurdles we come across. We will pass them with great pleasure and satisfaction.

However, focusing on a job in hand can be difficult. This is because:

• Daily challenges and issues distract us.
• We are not aware of the importance of concentrating on only one issue.
• We get bored so quickly on a certain subject or problem. This way we get bored so quickly.
• Most of the times we fear that all the focusing will not help us to tackle the problems we face. Therefore we delay to face with them.
• In most cases we try to do too much instead of focusing on one thing. We try to face all the issues at the same time.
• Finally, we want to see outcome in very short period of time. We always want quick results.

Leonardo Da Vinci took 10 years to accomplish his famous master piece “Last Supper”. Because, he was spending so much time in great details. He was focusing on one thing in each day. So, if he didn’t focus or if he divided his attention to more things, would he be able to produce Last Supper or Mona Lisa?

Dealing with one problem is much easier than dealing with multiple problems. We should always solve one then move to another. Only this way we can accomplish what we want to achieve in life.

So, if you want to accomplish something, you need to make sure that daily issues won’t distract. You got to divide your work in small tasks rather than dealing with all the work at the same time. You need to remember that, it will take time to see the benefits of your hard work.

Usually when the things turn out opposite to what we expect, we believe that it is not worth to try. We come up with excuses that we create in our mind. We usually do that if we lack of knowledge about the subject or the task. We think that, if we carry on, we would fail and others would think less about us. However, what we all seem to forget, giving up is also a failure.

Giving up is worse than failing. Because, when we give up, we give up trying. We give up our determination. We give up our passion. And we give up our goals and objectives. When we give up, we make ourselves to believe that our dream is not worth following.

We always think failure will make us less important on other peoples’ eyes. Fear of humiliation breaks our will power and resistance. We won’t admit this to ourselves. As we don’t admit, we start to develop excuses to give up, so it would be the best think to prevent further humiliation or embarrassment.

It is always easier to find excuses to give up rather than finding excuses to carry on. Giving up is like a drug. It will only give us temporary and unrealistic relief and comfort. However, after effects of giving up is more painful than carrying on fighting.

I hope you can now understand the difference between the failure and giving up. We always fail. That is our nature. If we don’t fail, we won’t realise what is right or what is wrong.

The reason people are unsuccessful is not because they fail, it is because they are not persistent enough. They are lack of determination. If you are determent enough to follow your dream, no failure will let you give up.

You need to remember this; every dream is worth following. We shouldn’t let anything to prevent us to reach our long term goals. But before we start our journey to our dream, we need to understand that we will fail on the way. There will be obstacles, which will make us to stop and which will try to make us to give up. We will only carry on, if we are determent enough to reach to our final destination.
